Improve
Environmental Practices
I will work actively with the Environment and Energy Efficient Committee to help Watertown become a "green community." By achieving this status, Watertown will become a sustainability leader in the Commonwealth, attract "green" businesses, win state grants, lower energy costs, and, most importantly, enhance the quality of our lives and the environment.
Support the Arts and Community Events
I'll explore creative possibilities such as hosting a farmer's market that doubles as a performing venue for local musicians. I want to create a volunteer social committee charged with planning enjoyable and cost-effective events for residents and visitors alike.
When Watertown becomes a destination, we all win. Not only does a revitalized town strengthen community ties, it also fosters economic development, attracting more business and expanding our tax revenue base.
Engage a Wide Range of Residents
Historically, younger people are not as active in town affairs.
Through improved communications and online tools, I will build
a bridge between generations that benefits everyone.
Champion Public Education Like many communities in the state, Watertown has budgetary shortfalls and only so many resources at its disposal. As councilor, I will make support for public education a priority in order to best serve and educate the next generation of Watertown residents.
